MacSaturn is a leader in the waste reduction industry.  This is one of their larger shredders, the opening is 72 inches by 50 inches, and is powered by 2 Detroit 671 Diesel Engines.  The large hopper opening allows for a 5 ft tire to be run through the shredder.  The knives are currently stacked with a 4 inch cut, and a classifier produces a 4 inch nominal chip at a rate of 2-4 ton per hour.
