ERS has made a good name for itself in the tire recycling industry.  They are well made and reasonably priced shredders.  This shredder has a 50” long X 30” wide cutting chamber and has 2” thick 2 hook knives installed and has been recently completely refurbished, with only very little use since this work was completed.  Note this machine has hexed shafts installed!

This shredder is mounted on a single drop, split tandem axle 53’ trailer, and has had all the tires just replaced new on the trailer.  It is powered by (2) 75 hp electric motors and the shredder is belt driven through a large dodge gear reducer.  It comes with an infeed and outfeed conveyor, motors and electrical control panel.  Unlike most other ERS shredders, this machine has been recently refurbished and had replaceable sides installed so that cleaning fingers can be installed.  It will take whole car and light truck tires and produce a 2 inch wide primary shred at a rate of about 8-10 ton per hour.

This shredder is ready to go to work, and is being offered at a very attractive price. Don’t wait too long, portable shredders are very hard to come by.

This shredder does not come with a generator.  A 250 KW Allis Chalmers powered Onan generator can be mounted and installed with a bypass disconnect for an additional $30,000.  If you still wanted the two conveyors to be hauled on the trailer as they presently are with the generator mounted, it would require another $10,000. 

 Note: We have a spare rebuilt (hardfaced) set of used 1 ½” thick 7 hooks knives and spacers available for this shredder for an additional price of $7,500.  With these you can do secondary shredding as well!
