This unit is powered by a model 855 series industrial Cummins diesel engine. We have recently brought this generator set in our shop and checked it over. This unit was previously purchased new by a city and was used as stand by power for there Cityhall/ Fire station. The unit presently shows 2673 hours and we believe this to be the correct hours but of course we can’t be positive. The unit runs great, and it seems to be operating properly and making electricity.
This unit has 238 kva and is running at 60 Hertzs. We presently have this unit set up to produce electricity at 460 volts but we could easily change this to 230 volts if that’s what you needed. This unit does come complete with a 600 amp disconnect.
This generator is skid mounted and comes complete with its own radiator for cooling. It also has its own battery charging alternator to keep the batteries charged. Note: this unit does not have a fuel tank.
